NC Senate Passes Hurricane Insurance Plan Fix

The North Carolina Senate has approved a fix for an underfunded coastal insurance plan that regulators called a problem about to effect property coverage statewide.

The Senate passed the proposal 42-5 on Wednesday, the same day
senators unveiled a revised plan to beef up the Beach Plan. The
bill returns to the House, which earlier passed a largely similar

The bill shifts some risk to all North Carolina homeowners, who
could be forced to pay an extra charge on their policy if there is
a disastrous storm season.

The Senate version lowers the extra charge Beach Plan policies
tack on to company rates after coastal residents complained they
have had several rounds of big insurance rate increases.

I promise that if I am elected, I will insist on personal responsibility from each and every North Carolinian. I will insist that we correct the illegal immigration fiasco. I will insist that the man and woman who create a life will be held fiscally responsible for that child if they do nothing else in their life. I will take the steps necessary to find work for the deadbeats who sit on their rumps all day, even if it means taking them to road work or municipaql cleanups. That is just a start to what I would attempt to accomplish. But unlike most of our "leaders", I MEAN IT! Thank me very much!!

Do what now? I don't have a home on the coast, but you want me to pay extra on my home to help pay their insurance. I'm insurance and tax poor now. If they don't want to pay the insurance rates that are due to the ones building along the coast. The fix is simple. Don't have a home there or sell the one they do have. Do like me, when I go to the coast I rent a motel room. I don't want to clean up an extra house. There are some dumb people in this world. Namely the government officials. You want extra taxes coming out of my check, to pay extra on purchases, and now you want me to pay other people's insurance. People need to stand up to all this taking. I go to work basically to pay for someone else's comfort. Please start sending me a check each month, so I wouldn't mind donating.

I would bet that they made themselves exempt to the increase. I would say they are trying to hurt the people who are not affected by the storms to pay for those that don't have enough insurance to rebuild their million dollar homes.
