Craigslist Prostitution Arrests

More than a dozen people have been arrested in a North Carolina prostitution investigation involving use of the Web site Craigslist.

Multiple media outlets reported that most of the arrests occurred last week at motels along the Interstate 77 corridor in Charlotte. Police Capt. Mike Adams said most of the prostitutes were from out of town, but didn't say if customers also were arrested.

Adams says prostitution contributes to other crimes and the investigation is continuing.

The only name released by police was 25-year-old Weylin Rodriguez of Orlando, Fla. He is charged with maintaining a place for prostitution, failing to register as a sex offender and being a habitual felon. It was unclear if he had an attorney.

It's out of control in California. Hopefully there will be a crackdown there too soon.

Its gross? HaHa, Well I think they should worry about other things than people just wanting to have sex, Its not like everyone does it or thinks about it....get real people its going to happen regardless. They need to focus on the gangs and drive by shooting, robberies and such. Sex in a hotel room even for money should be between the two people doing it. Its not so different than most marriages today anyway, women marry just for money. What is that? Think of Anna Nichole! Get in the real world. Hey maybe if it was legal we could have a sex tax, the prostitutes could file a 1099 as self employed?
