A Charlotte attorney has been selected as the next president-elect for the North Carolina Bar Association.
The group announced Saturday that Eugene Pridgen had been chosen to lead the bar association in 2010-11.
Pridgen is administrative partner for K&L Gates in Charlotte. He is a 1969 graduate of North Carolina State University and served in the U.S. Army from 1969-73.
Pridgen graduated magna cum laude from the Wake Forest University School of Law in 1978 and has an MBA from the school.
The Bar Association's annual meeting concludes Sunday in Asheville. U.S. Sens. Richard Burr and Kay Hagan are scheduled to speak at the gathering.
