Two buildings at Cape Hatteras Light Station that were damaged last year by Hurricane Irene are going to be closed temporarily for repairs.
The National Park Service says the Principle Keepers Quarters and the Double Keepers Quarters will be closed for about two weeks beginning Thursday. The Double Keepers Quarters houses the Museum of the Sea.
Workers will replace the roofs on both buildings.
The Hatteras Island Visitor Center remains open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day. The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse will open to climbing April 20.
