Greenville Animal Shelters Offer Dog Adoptions At Yogurt Shop

A local yogurt shop is teaming up with animal shelters, offering the opportunity to adopt a dog with an ounce of sweetness on the side.

The 3rd annual Dog Days of Summer event begins Monday where the Pitt County Animal Shelter, the Friends of the Pitt County Animal Shelter, and the Humane Society of ENC are partnering with Loreta's Frozen Yogurt to showcase dogs available for adoption.

Dogs Days of Summer will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Monday throughout the summer.

At the event, the frozen yogurt shop will offer free samples of its frozen yogurt for dogs called Doggy Yo, which comes in non-sugar-added Tahitian Vanilla and Peanut Butter flavors.

Attendees are welcomed to bring their dogs for the free doggy fro-yo treat while meeting and greeting adoptable dogs to bring into their home.

The Pitt County Animal Shelter will be at the yogurt shop on June 9 and 20, July 14, and August 11 and 25.

The Dog Days of Summer is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Monday at Loreta's Frozen Yogurt in Greenville.
