Greenville police said one of the two men who held up a gas station early Easter morning has now been arrested and charged with the crime.
Police spokeswoman Kristen Hunter said 24-year-old Lakevious Smith is now facing one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon after holding up the Kangaroo on Evans Street around 1:30 Easter morning.
Officer said Smith and another person worked together that morning to rob the gas station, one of them pointing a gun at the clerk. Officers said that clerk handed over an undetermined amount of cash before the two took off on foot.
Smith is being held on a $250,000 bond at the Pitt County Detention Center.
No word yet on a second arrest in this case.
