A driver has been charged for causing an accident that sent the other driver to the hospital.
Jordan Isley, 27, was cited for unsafe movement in the Monday morning crash on Wimbledon Dr. in Greenville, according to Greenville Police Public Information Officer Kristen Hunter. She says officers determined Isley pulled out in front of 40-year-old Kimberly Spain's car, causing the collision.
Spain was taken to Vidant Medical Center and has since been released.
The wreck closed Wimbledon Drive for a time as crews worked to clear the scene.
Greenville police say the accident on Wimbledon Drive happened at 7:59 a.m. Monday.
Paramedics carefully pulled one driver out of her silver car and put her on a stretcher. She was then loaded into an ambulance and taken to Vidant Medical Center.
The other driver was not injured, according to police.
The accident happened right in front of the driveways for two apartment complexes: Melbourne Park and the Pointe at Wimbledon. Some drivers coming out of Melbourne Park had to drive over the curb to get out of their parking lot.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
