UNC Athletic Director Committee Has 4th Meeting

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) -- The committee searching for North Carolina's next athletic director is still receiving interest from new candidates and whittling others from the list.

The 13-member committee held its fourth meeting Tuesday afternoon, with nearly all of the 2 1/2-hour meeting coming in closed session. Chairman Lowry Caudill says the meeting followed a similar pattern to last week, with the committee sifting through a substantial list and culling some names. But Caudill says the committee is also starting "to move the names around" to see which candidates are rising to the top of the list at this early stage.

Caudill says he thinks the committee could learn more about a specific timetable for hiring Dick Baddour's replacement at next Wednesday's meeting.

Take this for what it's worth (which I realize is VERY little coming from a person named "Anonymous" on an internet message board!): but, word out of Cheater Hill is that this candidate who is a Tarheel alum. and dyed in the baby blue wool supporter was VERY close to taking this job and then learned more inside dirt about the upcoming NCAA sanctions and ran like a scalded dog away from UNC-CHeat. Things are looking very dark in CHeater Hill regarding their athletics program and what the NCAA has plannned for them as far as program changing sanctions. Again, just fwiw, and you can dismiss this and I will understand completely!

Well looks like South Carolina- the real Carolina, Athletic Director has said no to the mighty tarholes. First offer shot down and he was a alum of the holes, lol. Nobody wants the mess. The "Carolina Way" continues

Actually East Carolina is the real Carolina. Not north Carolina, South Carolina, Western Carolina, or Coastal Carolina! It's East Carolina.

Yea, seen where SC athletic director is leading candiate, which make sense, since they are being investigated for allegations. Pretty fitting they are going for someone who is experienced in cheating already. The "Carolina Way" continues.
