NEW INFO: Highway 264 Now Open

Officials tell WITN that U.S. 264 is now open Monday morning between Greenville and Washington.

The water is gone, and the DOT said the road has been checked out and opened for travel.

The Division of Highways closed U.S. 264 in both directions between Greenville and Washington as waters from Tranters Creek rose Friday morning.

At the Onslow/Jones County line, U.S. 17 is reopened once again, while outside of Jacksonville Gum Branch Road now has one lane open and the DOT expects both lanes returned to travel in a few hours.

Check out the link below for the latest road conditions as well as see an updated list of roads reported closed.

this is too "ME" I know it was opened on monday morning at. Watched the news and everything before I left the house. My point that I was making is that WITN cared more about the sea food festival. WITN News whats that mean. They report about the news not some stupid sea food festival. Where is the news in that. Maybe they did so much on it because they advertised with witn. ME your stupid

At this rate If ECU had a home football game I would have had to turn off of 64 at Bethel instead of Jamesville or Williamston. Hopefully all the flood victims will be able to make it through, especially as my great aunt in Windsor was one of the victims.
