Local high school students will participate in a ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of their future brand new school.
Bertie High School in Windsor will be getting a fresh new look.
The old Bertie High School was built in 1964 and has been in poor shape.
School officials broke ground on the new facility back in November of 2012 and said the project costs about $20 million to complete.
The new Bertie High School is expected to open sometime in the fall, right across the street from the old school.
Students will cut the ribbon on Sunday.
