An Edgecombe County man is in trouble with the law after officials say he received compensation for plumbing repairs that he never completed.
Lawmen charged 27-year-old Gary Scott with five counts of obtaining property by false pretense and one count of failure to work after getting paid.
Scott received $10,000 in payment for the repairs that were supposed to be done.
