FBI Warns About Three Email Scams

The FBI is warning about three new hoax emails going around.

The FBI says one email claims to contain "Intelligence Bulletin No. 267." Another claims to be from the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI Counterterrorism Division. The third says it contains an FBI Intelligence Bulletin from the Weapons of Mass Destruction Directorate.

The FBI warns you not to click on any links contained in these or similar e-mails; they are hoaxes and may contain viruses or malicious software.

WITN you didn't say what makes these emails a "scam".I thought a scam was when one is trying to get something for nothing.

If I get an email from the FBI, I'll call the local office and discuss it with them. If you blindly follow the instructions in an unsolicited e-mail, then you get what you deserve.
