SCAM ALERT: Online Diploma Mills
The Better Business Bureau says, while some are legitimate, some online schools issue diplomas that aren't worth the paper they are printed on.
The Better Business Bureau warns of four so-called "online diploma mills." they are Belford High School, Belford University, Jefferson High School Online and Vencer High School Online.
The BBB lists some warning signs when looking for schools online. They recommend avoiding schools that have degrees or diplomas based on "life experience" and require little or no work. A legitimate school will not guarantee you will get a diploma or degree. Be wary of deals for pursuing multiple degrees at a time, along with paying for degrees instead of for credit hours.
