Watch out for ads that pop up on Facebook saying your friends have taken an IQ test and challenge you to beat their score. One of these quizzes asks you to enter your cell phone number when you finish the quiz, so you'll get a text message with the score. However, entering your cell phone number actually signs you up for a text message service that charges you $9.99 a month.
The only way you find out about the charge is by looking at your bill, or when you get a text message to renew the service.
