The Halifax County Sheriff's Office says people are getting calls, telling them they need to change their Medicaid account.
The Halifax County Sheriff's Office says the caller tells you they work for the government, for Medicaid. The purpose of the call is to tell you that there has been a security breach, and you need to change your Medicaid account and get a new card. Then the scam artist asks for your credit card information. This is a scam.
