The 25 Cents That Could Cost You More

People have been reporting mysterious 25¢ charges on credit card and bank statements. While it's only a quarter, the National Crime Prevention Council says that charge could become the opening to identity thieves.

The Council says the charges appear on the statements as “Adele Services” in Melville, NY. However, there is no business by that name there.

The Council urges anyone who finds that charge to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and the Internet Crime Complaint Center.

The Council says you should also alert the three major credit reporting bureaus, and run a check of your credit.

I would like to know if the post about the grants are a scam. I see different people on different websites holding the same pay check. Plus this link is on your website

If authorities are already aware of the scam, why not shut it down? And the credit card companies are doing what to help, go up on your finance charge?
