The Red Cross says an email is going around saying the Red Cross has pledged to donate $5 million to the disaster victims in Myanmar. The email then asks for donations to save lives by either contacting the Red Cross through a website, via email or on the phone.
The Red Cross says none of the contacts listed in the email are affiliated with the Red Cross. People wishing to help disaster victims should visit the official Red Cross site, t www.redcross.org
