Police Nab Gift Card Fraud Suspect At Store

Greenville police say they thwarted a gift card scam, aimed at a local grocery store.

Police Thursday arrested Anthony Bazemore for a fraud scheme that involved $16,000 in Lowes Food Visa gift cards.

Police say Bazemore was arrested at the Lowes Food store on South Evans Street as they say he tried to pickup 80 $100 gift cards. They say Bazemore planned to pickup another 80 cards early next week.

Bazemore is facing numerous fraud charges and is in the Pitt County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond.
