Donate With Confidence

'Tis the season for good will, and for scammers to take advantage of that good will. Every year, the Marine Corps collects Toys for Tots to help needy children, who otherwise, would probably not have any gifts on Christmas. Each year, there are reports of people trying to scam Toys for Tots.

WITN asked local Toys for Tots coordinator, MSgt. David Huffman what people can do to ensure their Toys for Tots donations end up in the right hands. Huffman says, look for an officials Toys for Tots box or poster. Also, at www.toysfortots.org you can find your local coordinator's phone number, and ask them about specific collection sites.

This is absolutely horrible! I can't beleive people would do such a thing. They are taking away from hundreds of kids Christmases. People can be so rude.
