Another federal government agency says, don't be fooled by emails that appear to be from them.
The latest agency for scammers to try to exploit their name is the Federal Trade Commission, or FTC. The subject references a complaint iled with the FTC against the email recipient. The links and an attachment in the email are carrying a virus, according to the FTC. The email uses a phony email address, making it look like the email is from email@example.com. The email has the FTC seal, but it also has grammatical errors and misspellings. You're asked to forward the email to firstname.lastname@example.org, and then delete it.
