Pitt County Elections Director Dave Davis says Pitt County will not be making any changes to early voting sites.

Early voting sites across the state have been swamped with voters and state officials are asking local counties to consider extending hours to ease the wait times in line.

Polling sites like one we visited Wednesday in Pitt county remained steady through the afternoon. Small lines with minimal waits didn't deter people from casting their ballots.

Beaufort, Onslow, and Lenoir Counties are not planning to extend their hours, and Pitt County Board of Elections says with five one stop voting sites, they don't see a reason to increase hours.
Dave Davis says, "We already talked about that yesterday and that's not happening, not in Pitt County." Number one we don't have the money and we're tapped out."
