Prosecutors Want No Mention Of John Edwards' Poor Health In Court

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) -- Prosecutors have asked a federal judge in North Carolina to bar those in the upcoming trial of former presidential candidate John Edwards from mentioning his poor health because of concern it could create sympathy among jurors.

Edwards' trial was delayed in January after his lawyers said the Democrat needed treatment for a serious heart condition. Jury selection is to begin April 12.

Prosecutors also asked for an order limiting any mention before the jury of possible pending contempt charges against former Edwards' aide Andrew Young stemming from a lawsuit over possession of a sex tape made by the candidate's mistress. Young is expected to be a key witness for prosecutors against Edwards, who has pleaded not guilty to charges related to campaign finance violations.

He would have been president but the press couldn't overlook his mistress because he isn't black. Obama's mother is all over the internet naked and there has never been mention of it in the press. If he were white or a non-Democrat there would have been a scandal.

Pretty Boy ain't got any health issues....bunch of bolognie. The biggest problem he's got is worrying about whether every hair is perfectly in place.

Since he is a democrat he will come out smelling like a rose. If he was a Republican they would have already burned him at the stake.

really the worst disease to strike humanity, afflicts those near the diseased the worst. Democrat is the symptom, and it seems the affliction is a form of demonic possession... Misery inflictors with it, really must be removed from polite society, and most importantly, removed from governance.

Isn't it kind of odd that he started having "health problems" when he found out he was going to be charged? Seems like the typical response by most politicians and hollywood elites.

What are you all thinking? That is the exact reason he is having Heart problems. It is killing him for the way he treated his wife while she was ill. We should not judge this man by the ways of the world in general. He is not the first and trust me he will not be the last! You can take that to the bank of your choice.
