Pitt County Democrats Watch DNC Enthusiastically

Democrats wrapped up their national convention Thursday night in Charlotte, and some enthusiastic local supporters gathered in Pitt County to watch President Barack Obama's speech.

Dozens piled into the Pitt County Democratic Party headquarters and many said after four years under President Obama's administration, our country should stick with him.

"What about your children and grandchildren? Are you worried about them? That's the big issue. So are we better off because we have someone like Obama? Or are we better off with someone like Romney?" asked Greenville resident Glenn Cauvin.

Those in attendance also say they think having the convention in Charlotte should mean good things come November for North Carolina, and they hope our state goes to Obama just like it did in 2008.
