Obama Lost Many Donors from '08 Presidential Race

President Barack Obama has lost millions of dollars in support from former donors in Democratic strongholds and districts that he won narrowly four years ago.

An Associated Press analysis found tens of thousands of supporters who gave Obama cash in the early stages of his last campaign have held out this time. And a handful have given to Republican candidates.

Obama's re-election effort is hardly hurting for cash: His campaign and the Democratic Party has raised more than $70 million for his re-election since July, and the campaign boasts a million contributors.

At the same time, one Republican front-runner, Mitt Romney, has closed in financially in areas of the country that gave a solid stream of checks to Obama in the 2008 campaign, including Southern California, Florida and New England.

Valid point, take for example, climate change. First we are told it exists, then we experience the world getting colder as scientists deny at first, then come clean and admit it. We are then told democrats support climate change and want to spend trillions on it. So NASA shows evidence of proof that the earth releases greenhouse gases naturally...democrats still want to spend trillions on climate change. Al Gore said NASA, who essentially, works for Obama, wasn't exposing what a satellite, put in space, for the purpose of observing the Ozone and CO2 levels on earth, isn't correct. That climate change is still happening. The EPA goes after industry and drives them overseas. So am I to believe that science, math and cool heads prevail?

I object to the obstructionist all-or-nothing attitudes of both parties lately. The notion that a party must have all the control and if not, be obstructionist, has cost us a great deal. Government officials should lead, not stand in the way. A lack of factual civil discourse has dominated the election season and served as nothing but a distraction to the American people. Math, science, and cool heads should prevail over disingenuous anger, baseless rumors and snappy insults.

After the GOP pushed over a month ago for the White House to submit a jobs bill to get many Americans back to work, to which President Obama presented a fair and balanced approach via the Jobs Bill, Republican leaders in Congress have chosen to do nothing, content in their confidence that donations from corporations, both foreign and domestic, as well as from Wall Street will override the will of the American people in the November 2012 elections. The Occupy Movement will put a kink in their plans. Just Google it Linda!

He's getting the publicity he's getting because he's the only one in Washington that's fighting for the middle class, that's right that's you and I. The GOP sure isn't fighting for you, all they're doing is trying to give the rich more and more tax breaks and putting the burden of paying those tax breaks on the backs of the middle class, that's you in case you didn't know. So yes the President will have no problem being reelected next year and YOU KNOW IT!! Sorry folks but your on the wrong side of the fence once again. It must really suck to be in the losing party.
