New Poll Shows Obama Leading Romney In NC

With Rick Santorum out of the race, Mitt Romney has all but locked up the Republican nomination for president, and North Carolina looks like it will remain a battleground state in the general election.

The latest poll in North Carolina by Public Policy Polling shows Obama with a five point lead over Romney. According to the poll, 49 percent of respondents said they'd back Obama, and 44 percent said they would back Romney.

The five point lead is the largest Obama has had over Romney in the group's polls in North Carolina.
