The North Carolina primary is May 8th, but you only have one more day to register for that election.
If you've recently changed your address, name, or just need to register to vote, you can do that by heading to your local board of elections office, but the deadline is the end of the day Friday in order to vote on May 8th. If you aren't able to register by then you have the option of registering at One Stop Voting. Times and locations vary by county. Pitt County Board of Elections director David Davis says, so far, they've seen an average amount of people coming in to register. He does expect a big turnout for this election with the marriage amendment and several hotly contested races on the ballot.
