NC Police Arrest 6 Anti-Wall Street Protesters

Police say at least six protesters taking part in an anti-Wall Street march in North Carolina's capital are facing charges after their arrest.

Raleigh Police Capt. G.B. Dixon said Saturday the six protesters were part of a group of about 20 or 30 who blocked Raleigh's downtown Hillsborough Street and refused to move when police commanded.

Dixon said the six were being booked and he didn't know the charges they face.

WNCN reported the demonstrators were marching from the state Capitol Building to the campsite a few blocks away that Occupy Raleigh has maintained since Thanksgiving.

Eight people affiliated with Occupy Raleigh protests were arrested in October when authorities cleared a sidewalk next to the Capitol grounds.
