NC House To Vote On Fracking Regulation Bill Thursday

Fracking has cleared another hurdle on its way to becoming legal in North Carolina.

The house environment committee passed a bill Wednesday that would set up a framework to regulate the underground drilling for shale gas in our state. The committee voted without letting residents in attendance speak which didn't sit well with opponents.

The full house will vote on fracking Thursday.

The bill sets up a two year time period for the state to figure out how to regulate fracking.
