NC GOP Gets Help From Ga., Tenn., SC Republicans

Republican Party organizations in three neighboring states say they'll send resources into North Carolina to help GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney win the Tar Heel state's electoral votes.

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus and Republican Party heads from Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee said Saturday they're combining efforts to defeat President Barack Obama and North Carolina Democrats.

Each state party is committing to send volunteers and to make calls to North Carolina voters from their own states.

South Carolina's Republican Party in May pledged at least 1,000 volunteers to North Carolina and has already begun volunteer efforts in the state.
