More Counties In Eastern Carolina Voted For Romney

North Carolina was one of the only swing states in the election that went to Republican Mitt Romney, giving the challenger the state's 15 electoral votes. The margin between Romney and President Barack Obama was nearly 97,000 votes. Romney carried most counties in Eastern Carolina.

Eastern counties that Romney carried: Beaufort, Carteret Chowan, Craven, Currituck, Dare, Duplin, Greene, Hyde, Lenoir, Onslow, Pamlico, Pender, Perquimans and Wayne.

Eastern counties that Obama carried: Bertie, Edgecombe, Gates, Halifax, Hertford, Martin, Nash, Northampton, Pasquotank, Pitt, Washington and Wilson
