More Camp Lejeune Troops Return Home

Hundreds of Marines and Sailors stationed right here in the east made it home Thursday night after a six-month deployment.

The 290 Marines and Sailors of the Combat Logistics Battalion 2 were most recently in the Helmand Province of Afghanistan. Their duties there included supporting the overall NATO mission to train and assist Afghan national security forces.

The battalion still has 310 Marines and Sailors in Afghanistan.
