State House District 9 Incumbent Files On Final Day

Long-time NC House of Representative Member, Marian McLawhorn, arrived at the Pitt county Board of Elections, an hour before the filing period ended, Wednesday.

The incumbent is going for her 8th term in office against 2 Republican challengers, Jack Wall And Brian Brown.

McLawhorn, a Democrat, has held the seat for seven terms and some believed she may not run for office this year, after district lines changed.

"I'm really excited about filing, this is my eighth time to file and I'm just delighted to be here to do." said McLawhorn.

McLawhorn says she waited until the last day due to a illness in the family and sessions in Raleigh.

Waiting to the last minute was a typical stunt to draw attention to herself. She is a Democrat lackey who votes the way she is told to vote. Let's get her and the rest of these "good ol' boys and girls" out of Raleigh this year. They blew the budget up and now they attack the Republicans who are trying to fix this mess. We need someone with a backbone and a few good ideas--not a Perdue/Butterfield/Pelosi/Reid/Barney Frank/Obama ROBOT!!!!
