Greenville City Council Appoints Interim City Manager

While Greenville continues to search for a new city manager they have made their decision for who will fill the position temporarily.

The Greenville City Council voted to hire Assistant City Manager Thomas Moton as interim city manager starting March 1. He'll temporarily fill the void left by retiring city manager Wayne Bowers.

The city council will meet again February 16 to narrow down prospective search firms to conduct the search for Bowers' replacement. The city also has to find a new police chief and public works director.
