Newt Gingrich: "Not Ready To Quit" During Visit To New Bern Tuesday

Republican hopeful Newt Gingrich brought his presidential campaign to Eastern Carolina Tuesday.

The former House speaker attended a lunch at the Chelsea Restaurant on Middle Street.

Gingrich was in Raleigh Monday and Wilmington last week in advance of next month's state primary.

Gingrich says he's being realistic when he says Mitt Romney is "far and away the most likely" GOP nominee, but Gingrich says he isn't ready to drop out of the presidential race even after Rick Santorum called it quits Tuesday.

He is the second Republican presidential candidate to stump here in Eastern Carolina. Last fall, Congressman Ron Paul visited Greenville.
