Geithner: Obama Won't Ask Me To Stay In A 2nd term

Timothy Geithner says he doesn't expect President Barack Obama to keep him on as Treasury secretary.

Geithner tells Bloomberg Television, "He's not going to ask me to stay on, I'm pretty confident."

Geithner is the only remaining top official on Obama's original economics team. He had considered leaving in August after the congressional battle over raising the debt limit was resolved. But Obama asked him to stay on.

Geithner helped lead the administration's response to the 2008 financial crisis and often has been a target of criticism in his three years as Treasury secretary.

But he's also received praise for his leadership in getting a sweeping financial overhaul through Congress and in the efforts he made to stabilize the financial system.

If Obama is reelected we will not need a Treasury Secretary, he will have already spent all the money.

Don't worry. Geithner will be replaced by another Goldman-Sachs/Federal Reserve operative, and the looting of the US Economy and the destruction of the Middle Class will continue, unabated...

    1. Did he ever pay his taxes that he "forgot" to pay before becoming Treasury secretary? 2. Did he pay the penalty for said "forgotten" taxes? 3. Did he pay the interest due for said "forgotten" taxes?

There's a true leader, recognizing that he can't do his job well enough to keep it... what in the world are we doing to ourselves.
