Republican gubernatorial candidate Pat McCrory made a campaign stop in Greenville Friday.

McCrory toured the heart robotics lab in the life sciences building at ECU, observing various pieces of new technology and speaking with doctors.

McCrory also sat down with us, giving his thoughts on the recent polls that have him out in front. A Marist Poll out this week shows McCrory with a 52 to 39 percent lead over Democrat Walter Dalton.
McCrory says, "I do feel good about the polls but I don't trust any of them. I run extremely paranoid because I've lost before. So I don't care what the polls say, I'm going to work until the polls close on November 7th."

McCrory spoke about North Carolina jobs, the economy, and other issues for the upcoming election.

After touring the heart robotics lab McCrory attended a GOP barbecue in Pitt County.
