Saturday is your last chance to register and vote in the primary if you are not already registered.
Early voting ends Saturday at 1:00 p.m. all across the state.
While turnout is on pace to top any other primary since the state began one-stop voting in 2000, that is not the case in Pitt County.
According to Pitt County Board of Elections officials, turnout has been down compared to the primary in 2008. In 2008 Pitt County officials say around 9,000 people voted early. As of Friday afternoon, only 6,796 had voted early for this election.
These low numbers are in contrast to other counties such as Durham and Wake where early voting is expected to meet or exceed 2008 numbers.
