There's a new candidate running to unseat Congressman Walter Jones for the U.S. House of Representative, this time on the Democratic ticket.
Erik Anderson, a former Cherry Point Marine, is running a grassroots campaign to become the next representative for District Three.
Anderson says his platform focuses on the getting people back to work and building a better education system.
While Anderson won't face Jones in the primary, Jones does have a Republican challenger in Frank Palombo, the former New Bern Chief of Police.
