I'm so tired of congressman like Butterfield that just want to get reelected. He cares nothing about NC. I live in dist. 1 and everytime I have written, called, or e-mail him regarding an issue or upcoming vote, there is no response from him. He votes on party lines and never steps out of those lines.

For so many speaking harshly of Congressman Butterfield, he must have done something right. You have a representative that will give you the shirt off his back if it would help the people he represents. I think there is an old expression for what I am reading here. It's called biting the hand that feeds you. As bad as our economy has been, had it been left to a Republican Representative, all of Southeastern North Carolina's people would be share croppers now with no future expectations of ownership of the land or tech. advancements to help you prosper. Think about it before you make a bad move.

What? Are you not aware that as of 2010 republicans took over the house in Raleigh for the first time? Are you aware of Butterfields voting record at all? Go to his web site and catch up with...he has never sent me back a response to a letter or email, nothing. What you post is those done by NC democrats until 2010...geez, do you not pay attention to...life?

Hey WITN. Look into GK's earmark spending for revitalization activities in Wilson (near properties owned by him)to see if there may have been a conflict of interest or even connection/relation to those owners of the improved properties. He is just as shady as Frank Ballance.

Beachbum3, I agree with you but don't be so modest. I will take it a step further and rate your opinion as FACT on this, they all stink. They come from under the rock during election time but should do us all a favor and stay there.

Let be very clear, This congressman votes only to presrve his job, he is a giveaway politician. He votes to buy votes in his districk. Not for the good of the state or the country, just his districk. This is a perfect example of you vote for me, I will give you benefits. Please choose wisely when you vote, democrat or republican does not matter, intergrity does.
