Blagojevich: I Did Nothing Wrong

In a last-ditch effort to save his job, Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich told senators at his impeachment trial that he's done nothing wrong and the evidence doesn't support removing him.

The Democratic governor repeated his frequent complaint that he wasn't allowed to call witnesses who would have defended him against the criminal charges at the heart of the impeachment case.

Blagojevich acknowledged that the truth of his actions might not be flattering. He referred to taped conversations played earlier that appeared to show him linking legislation to campaign contributions.

He said that's something "all of us in politics do."

The Senate is scheduled to vote Thursday afternoon on whether to convict Blagojevich and remove him.

The prison system is absolutely full of people who 'did nothing wrong'. Blago, I am sure you will be in denial the rest of your days. While your in jail, write a book, sell your story to hollywierd (some nitwit will want to watch it) and then when your out, you can get a job on MSNBC. We'll see ya in a few years.

They (we) all do it, so it's OK. Welcome to Chicago - or is it Baltimore - or is it Detroit - or Raleigh??? What a lot of those idiots don't seem to realize is that the days when you got to keep all you could steal are rapidly (well, maybe not rapidly) disappearing. And it's about time!!!

I don't like Blagojevich because he is a liberal Democrat. However, if he is charged and loses his job, then Jesse Jackson, Jr., Barack Hussein Obama, and Rahm Israel Emanuel should all three go down with him. They are just as crooked as he is. I guess the "Messiah" is going to cover up for them though.

It is hard to think that a fine member of the DNC who is dedicated to Obama would be attacked in this manner. What makes him any different than any of his cabinet? I think he really knows how to talk the talk...
