President Bush And Laura Have Left The Building

Former President George W. Bush and his wife have left Washington for their Texas home, after eight years in the White House.

Following the inauguration of Barack Obama as the nation's 44th president, Bush and his wife Laura boarded a helicopter alongside
the U.S. Capitol. The new president and his wife walked them to the
chopper -- keeping with tradition -- to see them off.

The Bushes are first headed to Midland, Texas, for a homecoming celebration in the city that hosted a send-off for them eight years ago. Then they'll go to their ranch in Crawford for their first night as private citizens again.

Good Riddance!!! My dad told me when he was first elected that he was really worried about how this countyr would do--after he was re-elected in 2004, he informed me he was really scared now--"everytime we have a republican president the country goes down economically" he told me. He is 75 yrs old and has followed politics all his life. He was absolutely right!

Can you imagine the mess he would have inherited if he was taking the reins from Al Gore or John Kerry? As I am an American, I can't hope for anything but the best for Obama and his advisors.

Mr. Bush , I'm sure this is a great weight lifted off your shoulders. I thank you for a job well done. Im sure the current President wouldn't have done nearly as well under the circumstances that you had to deal with.We most likely would be fighting the war against terror here on American streets, instead of in the Middle East.So once again Mr. Bush, thanks for a job well done.
