NCDOT Suspending Projects Around Inauguration

North Carolina is suspending work on some major construction projects as it prepares for traffic heading to and from President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration.

The state Department of Transportation says it will suspend major projects Saturday on northbound Interstate 85 and Interstate 95. Work will resume on those projects on Tuesday, when Obama will take the oath of office.

The department then plans to suspend southbound work on I-85 and I-95 from Wednesday to Friday in preparation for a large volume of vehicles returning home from Washington.

Transportation leaders expect heavy traffic north of Richmond, Va.

Is Obama going to pay all those worker for lost wages $$$$$ ,because days off of work? Obama visits the Washington Post amid cheers. Barack Obama made an obligatory visit to the Washington Post, to personally thank them for their slanted journalism, and not digging into his dirty past, who paid for his education, or his true beliefs and scandlist politics. that helped propel his victory in the 2008 Presidential election. The Washington Post will also provide the donkey and palms for his journey to the White House.
