Illinois Governor Pledges To Fight, Won't Quit

Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich says he is not guilty of any criminal wrongdoing and plans to stay on the job.

In his first official statement since his arrest on corruption charges last week, Blagojevich says he will fight until he takes his "last breath."

Prosecutors have accused Blagojevich of trying to sell President-elect Barack Obama's vacant U.S. Senate seat to the highest bidder.

The Democratic governor says he intends to "answer every allegation in a court of law."

He says he'll be vindicated because he has "personal knowledge that I have not done anything wrong."

This is great! I love this guy, the arrogance! It's fantastic lol. To Tad: Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm not trying to jump on you with my comments, in fact I would probably agree with the comments that WITN didn't post. BUT WITN's refusal to post any comments in these forums are not an infringement on anyone's First Amendment Rights. Only the Government can trample on Freedom of Speech. Just as you have a right to voice your opinion so does WITN and since this is their forum they can edit or delete posts as they see fit.

I guess WITN didn't like the bluntness of my last comment. Let me see if I can make it more politically correct. obama hasn't taken my right to free speech yet but I guess WITN has. W, you and your cronies defined how a president or president-select can be talked about. You don't mind making your disparaging remarks about Bush and blaming him for everything that went wrong for the past eight years. You will probably continue to blame him for as long as the fraud obama is president-select and president. You set the guidelines, enjoy. Pointing out the shortcomings of the "one for whom we have been waiting" is not whining, it's a busy job. Move on you say, I am moving on, from one obama shortcoming and miscue to another, just as you do Bush. Again, stop your crying and enjoy the fray.

Come on Illinois--throw the bum out!! The national scene will soon look like Chicago among the cherry blossoms. It seems as if Mr. Obama is bringing half of Chicago with him to D.C. It ought to be real entertaining in about two years.
