Beverly Perdue will be sworn in as North Carolina's next governor on Jan. 10.
Perdue announced the date and the leaders for her transition team Monday. The Democratic lieutenant governor will move up to governor after defeating Republican Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory during last week's election.
Perdue's team will be led by campaign manager Zach Ambrose, former gubernatorial Cabinet secretary Norris Tolson, and Perdue's chief of staff as lieutenant governor, Don Hobart.
Ambrose held Hobart's job until he switched over to the campaign last year. Tolson is president of the North Carolina Biotechnology Center and was revenue secretary for outgoing Gov. Mike Easley. He also served as transportation and commerce secretary under former Gov. Jim Hunt.
