Hundreds Gathered To Hear Joe Biden Speak At ECU

Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden returned to North Carolina just a few days after he finished a three-city bus tour.

The Democratic vice-presidential candidate visited Mendenhall Student Center on the ECU campus in Greenville.

The Democratic ticket is working to get its first victory in North Carolina since 1976. Obama plans his own stop in North Carolina on Wednesday, as does his wife.

The Republicans are also hammering their message in the surprise swing state. GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin was in Asheville yesterday. Party presidential nominee John McCain will be in Fayetteville on Wednesday.

WITN streamed Biden's speech live on witn.com and aired it live on WITN's 24/7 Weather Channel, just as we did when Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin visited Greenville.

First to clarify comments directed towards "republicans", I am a democrat voting for "the best candidate, McCain". Why? He is best for the country. Obama has not come clean on too many things. Even the media is protecting him from "something". Thats the problem. I am voting against him as an activist should. The rest of you are going along party lines..la,,,la,,,la just like the sheep he is expecting. The rest of us "seasoned" voters recognize a snake when we see one. Florida has now fallen to McCain...you will see the same of all the "swing" states. This election scandals from democrats again, like in 01. It is nothing for "my democratic party" to be proud of.

It's funny how all of you are so quick to assume that Obama has won. I guess you have never heard of the expression "don't count your chickens before they hatch". I am sure you are right that if Obama wins he will bring Change, I agree. He will change our country to a Socialist nation. I think that the outcome of the election will shock most of you. I am confidant McCain will win!!!!!!!!!

Da son is brite. Doo my spellin mistakes meen tha son aint brite? Spelling and grammar mistakes do not make anyone's point less credible. I look for spelling errors and typo's all day long in my job. A comment section on the internet is the last place that I worry about mistakes.

A lot you post comments that are riddled with mistakes in grammar and spelling. Regardless of how strong the point you are trying to make is, it seems less credible when these errors are prevalent. I'm sorry - I'm a staunch believer in the proper use of the English language when it comes to writing. I know most of us are from the South, so we are going to use words like "ain't" and "ya'll" when speaking in general conversation, but why not take a little care and time when writing. It just might make other readers ponder your viewpoint instead of scoffing at it.
