To help the ailing economy, there's talk of another economic stimulus package.

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke testified before the house budget committee in Washington Monday and said the 700 billion dollar financial rescue package will be good for both Wall Street and Main Street. He also says congress should consider another injection of financial stimulus. Monday we spoke to third district Republican Congressmen Walter Jones who voted against the bailout bill..

Committee members noted that last summer's stimulus checks led to a flurry of consumer spending, but it was short-lived. Bernanke said relieving the clog on credit will have wide-ranging benefits.

To concerned: What Planet Are you From? If you dont want it, give it to your neighbor or, hey, give it to me, I can sure use it. Im sure you will not have a problem with someone taking it off your hands. I cant believe that you said that, thats ridiculous to even think that as bad as the economy is today. Get real honey. Or you may be one of the ones that make over 100k a year or more...ok majority of us do not...let us enjoy these checks as often as they want to send them..cause like "say what" said, it is really our money from all the taxes we pay. Why not give it back. I can really use it and im sure 99% of the others that respond to this blog will feel the same way I do. You are the 1% that dont.--go figure

I do not believe you should send out any more of those stimulus checks. The ones that really need them are not the ones that get enough to matter, it's the ones that really do not need them that gets the most. Our nation is in bad enough shape without giving out more free money. When I came along we earned what we got, it was not given to us and we appreciated and took better care of what we got.
