Former Gov. Hunt, NC Mayors To Discuss Obama

Former Gov. Jim Hunt and mayors from across the state will gather in Charlotte to discuss the challenges they face and how Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama could help them if he is elected.

Eight mayors, including Durham's Bill Bell, Winston-Salem's Allen Joines, Asheville's Terry Bellamy and Yvonne Johnson of Greensboro will join Hunt on Tuesday for a news conference at the Charlotte Convention Center.

The Obama campaign lists 47 mayors, former mayors and mayors pro-tem as having endorsed the Illinois senator.

To Lavon, Your man Obama is the one that wants a Socialist/ Communist country.I guess since Im supposed to be so right wing as you say,I would want a Fascist country. You need to figure out left wing from right wing. You are confused once again.

You can talk all the trash you want and spew all your right wing garbage as much as you want but let me say this and you watch my words come true. On Nov 4th or somewhere around the morning of the 5th you will see a perfect example of the american people holding the republican party accountable for what they have done to this nation. Hey ??? I know you would like this to be a communist country but im afraid your wish will never be granted. So that being said I vote every presidential election even if you don't like it. I know you would like everyone to agree with you and vote for the candidate of your choice but that kind of stuff only happens in a fairy tale dream. So maybe you should consider pinching yourself so you can come back to reality..

Whats wrong with America Lavon is when they started letting people that are too dumb to vote start voting.

Bobby, as the secular progressive liberal in the democratic party took over it scares all of us. Watching Hannitys America on Sunday night gives only a glimpse into the canidate Obama. Unlike Lavon, who posts here quite often, I read his book. It is consistant with Hannitys presentation with the parts that Obama wanted left out. It leaves me with too many questions and no trust on what he says. As a Democrat I vote for what is best for the country as well. I don't care about "party lines". I make my own judgement as you should do as well. Sorry, no koolaid in my fridge.

Well thats the problem with america. I don't so much blame everything on the president. It's really the people of america that vote these kind of people into office. You have people that would rather vote against the best interest of the country just so they can fill their own self satisfaction. How sad how sad!!

Boots, Never said I was for McCain, and it sure seems like that was your meaning(past dosen't count). I am saying that I definately am not for someone who has done NOTHING except associate himself with all the WRONG people. You are just like the rest of the blind sheep. You ignore the dangerous past, even if it could be dangerous for our country, and for what? So a black man can be president. And are you insinuating something by your last statement? And you yankees wonder why the majority of southerners want you to stay up north.

Did any of you ever hear the story about the little boy that cried wolf, after a while no one heard him wolf because every one knew he was not telling the truth. Like the republicans are doing now, "NO ONE HEARS YOU" not that they ever did.
  • by Boots on Oct 15, 2008 at 06:40 AM
To Brad, No I am not saying that, I am saying I am old enough to vote for my choice of a candidate with out being harassed. I have no intentions of voting republican. Eight years is eight long years to long "NO MORE OF THE SAME FOR ME" It is unbelievable that McCain has made one whopping mistake after the other and you all just smile and keep tagging along behind him, like good little sheep that you are I can hear you now babababa. You go vote for McCain and I will go vote for Obama. My vote counts more than your vote does anyway because, I am from OHIO, just a little food for though HAVE A GOOD DAY :)

Obama does not meet the qualifications to be an FBI agent or even his own bodyguard because he has associated with known terrorists. How sad that the qualifications for President are not as strict. And the people don't even care. As a Democrat I am worried about the safety and future of our country.
