WITN spoke with democrat congressman G.K. Butterfield Monday by satellite about Governor Palin's planned visit to Greenville on Tuesday..
Butterfield told WITN news he can't think of a more important issue than people losing their jobs, health care and homes. And wants governor Palin to address these issues when she speaks tomorrow.
"This is the first trip to eastern North Carolina probably to North Carolina and i want her (Palin) to look North Carolininans in the eye and tell us why the economy has gone bad and what John McCain is going to do to pull us out of this hole. We're suffering in North Carolina and we need the help and protection of the government and we need to be regulated and John McCain stands for deregulation."
Butterfield also told WITN he voted no on the bailout bill which was signed into law by the President last week, because he believed it did more for wall street than main street.
