Big Audience For Joe Biden-Sarah Palin TV Debate

Who's running for president, anyway?

Far more people watched Thursday's vice presidential debate between Joe Biden and Sarah Palin on television than watched the first presidential debate.

Nielsen Media Research says preliminary ratings in the nation's 55 biggest markets were up 42 percent from the same measurement of John McCain and Barack Obama's first encounter last Friday.

Nielsen's specific estimate of how many people watched Thursday night will be out later, but indications are it will be one of the most-watched political debates ever.

Curiosity over Palin's performance undoubtedly played a role, but don't discount timing: More people generally watch television on Thursdays than Fridays.

I notice the same liberals posting the same BS everyday on these blogs. You need to know the difference between liberal and terrorist. You are pushing a terrorist for president not an inspiring leader for the liberals. Do your research away from his web site and moveon who have brainwashed people to think this guy is "OK". He is not OK, he quit his church to get elected? Now, if he gets in, he will go back to his church? The reason there is so much attention paid to the debate on Palin-Biden was to see who "she" really is. Yet, mosts bloggers here have already made up their minds to who she is and how you hate her and how stupid she is. Well, some of us show respect to the canidate even if it is not the one we want. We will not vote your terrorist in this season. We have enough problems with politicans as it is.

Palin is doing all the leg for McCain. At least Obama is able to do his own campaigning. McCain is out of air and with global warming it's a good thing or he might melt the polar ice caps.

To Anonymous, How can you say Devil Dog stated his case very well? "He goes, Hey Biden, your are not middle class. You left Scranton, age 9" What in the hell does that have to do with anything?

Devil Dog, You stated your case very well. It is unfortunate that others are not capable of making an intelligent claim for or against their candidate.

You know I wonder how Obama is getting away with so much like you republicans clam. It makes me worry about our "National Security" we pay taxes for them to keep us safe. If Obama can do so much, guess what folks we are just a heartbeat away from another 9\11 "I am Little Woman and I approve this message"

Hey PALIN, your are not middle class. You left Idaho at age 9. Biden is middle class because he is. You have an estimated worth of 1.2 million and your are a non spelling idiot. You BETCHA. You should be a proctologist not a governor. By the way being a beauty pagent contestant doesn't make you qualified to be a vice president. I know everything!

To Devil Dog, If Palin makes $166,000 a year that is $166,000 more of tax payers money shot to hell.

Thursday night was a big, big win for Governor Sarah Palin. She showed originality, charisma and sass - a style that is refreshing and different in our politics. She didn't just win the vice-presidential debate, she showed that she belongs with Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton as among the best communicators of our modern political times.
