Elizabeth Edwards has canceled her speech at a women's conference in Pittsburgh, where organizers say she was too ill to travel.
Edwards is the wife of former U.S. Senator and Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards. At an appearance in North Carolina on Wednesday, Edwards said recent tests showed her breast
and bone cancer was no worse than it was 18 months ago.
Edwards was to speak in Pittsburgh at the Pennsylvania Governor's Conference for Women. Organizers say she isn't appearing Thursday because she is too ill to fly though she is still is expected to offer telephone comments at the conference.
Edwards' public appearance in Carrboro, N.C., on Wednesday was
her second since her husband acknowledged an extramarital affair
